About Arbor Boards

Single Board Computers

Support for legacy Arbor SBCs, including compact embedded boards, 3.5-inch boards, EPIC boards, and slot computing board platforms used in industrial systems.

PC/104 & PC/104+ Modules

Support for Arbor PC/104 and PC/104+ stackable modules where bus compatibility, stacking order, power, I/O, and mechanical fit must be reviewed.

Industrial Embedded Boards

Support for Arbor embedded boards used in automation, transportation, healthcare, logistics, control systems, and specialized OEM platforms.

Slot Computing & Compact Platforms

Support for Arbor full-size and half-size slot computing boards, compact industrial boards, and embedded system platforms where replacement must match the original system architecture.

When an Arbor Board Fails

A failed or unstable Arbor board can affect the larger embedded computer, PC/104 stack, industrial controller, transportation device, logistics platform, healthcare system, or OEM machine it supports. The issue may appear as boot failure, power instability, missing I/O, communication faults, display failure, storage detection problems, PC/104 stack errors, intermittent operation, overheating, or application-level instability. Because many Arbor boards are used in compact and compatibility-sensitive platforms, replacement should be reviewed for form factor, chipset, BIOS, I/O layout, stack configuration, operating system, enclosure fit, and software requirements.

Power, Boot, or Startup Failure

The board may fail to power on, complete POST, retain BIOS settings, detect memory, recognize storage, initialize display output, or load the operating system.

PC/104, I/O, or Expansion Problems

PC/104 stack communication, serial ports, Ethernet, USB, display outputs, storage interfaces, expansion modules, or system-specific connections may stop working correctly.

Obsolete or Compatibility-Sensitive Platform

The original Arbor board may be discontinued, revision-sensitive, or difficult to replace without checking BIOS, chipset, form factor, stack layout, I/O, enclosure, and software compatibility.

Where Arbor Boards Are Used

Arbor boards are commonly used in compact industrial and embedded systems where stable operation, modular expansion, industrial I/O, and long-term hardware continuity are important. These systems may include industrial automation equipment, transportation systems, logistics devices, healthcare platforms, embedded controllers, edge systems, operator stations, test systems, and specialized OEM machines.

Industrial Automation & Embedded Control

Used in equipment that depends on stable processing, industrial I/O, compact board design, and long-life embedded platform support.

Transportation, Logistics & Healthcare Systems

Used in platforms where rugged operation, reliable communication, display support, and system continuity are important.

PC/104, Edge & OEM Platforms

Used in compact stacked systems and OEM machines where unavailable replacement boards or untested substitutions can interrupt operations.

How Embedded Repair Labs Can Help

Evaluation Review

We review the Arbor part number, symptoms, photos, board type, form factor, PC/104 stack details, operating system, installed modules, and system application.

Repair Support

Where practical, we support repair paths for failed, unstable, intermittent, or damaged Arbor boards and modules.

Replacement Guidance

If repair is not practical, we help identify compatible replacement options, equivalent boards, modules, or alternate sourcing paths.

Functional Testing

Where applicable, repaired or supplied Arbor boards are checked for startup and functional behavior before return.

Before You Send an Arbor Board Request

For faster review, include the Arbor part number, board type, fault symptoms, quantity, system model, operating system, application or equipment where the board is used, PC/104 stack details if applicable, and clear photos of the board. If the board is obsolete or unavailable, include any required BIOS, chipset, I/O, stack configuration, connector, enclosure, or software compatibility requirements.
